With the rapid growth of technology in the field of Medical Imaging it has become mandatory for radiographers and radiologists to keep up with the latest protocols and “trends” of multi-slice CT scanning.
Nowadays it is possible to do a “whole body” scan within 5 sec and have detailed images up to 0.625mm slice thickness.
The purpose of this app is to give a small guidance and a “sneak peak” on the latest protocols used in MDCT scanners.
This app could be very useful to student radiographers who want to have a better understanding of the protocols used in CT during their clinical placement, but also to radiographers rotating to different modalities and they are not very familiar with all the procedures in CT.It could be a useful tool for experienced radiographers who want to compare different practices across the country. Junior radiologists could also benefit as this app could help them choose the right protocol for the given pathology. It also uses a comprehensive system of organizing the protocols in such way that the radiologist could use it for vetting.
You can add/edit or delete your own protocols. This interactive protocol manager is a powerful tool for every radiographer and radiologist.
Default protocols can be accessed for referencing as well.
Tab your way through your own (iCat Scan) or the default protocols!
Create your own protocol database in a simple and efficient way.
